Welcome to the PS Driver Training

Welcome to PS Driver Training, my name is Phil Smith and, as an Approved Driving Instructor based in High Littleton (BS39), I cover the Bath (BA1, BA2 and BA3) and the Chew Valley area. I offer tuition for the novice up to Pass Plus as well as refresher & motorway courses and now classroom theory.

I hope you find my website an informative and a useful tool to aid you with your ambition to becoming a safe driver. Driving is a far greater skill than merely sitting behind the wheel of car for a few lessons and passing a test. Understanding the road laws, signs and situations is important - not only for you to keep your licence but to keep you alive.

A blog is available on my site for my pupils. I will use this to pass on any updates that may be of relevance to you either from the DSA or made by myself. I may also display pupil success's or any questions that pupils may have which other users can add comments. Users will be added by myself and content will be monitored.

Learning to drive is not an easy skill to achieve, especially on today's roads. Accidents involving young or inexperienced drivers is a hot topic at the moment and I am sure we have heard stories in the press or seen flowers by the roadside all too often. As a driving instructor it is not only my responsibility to show you how to learn, I will be teaching you to drive safely rather than teaching you just enough to get you through the test.
